On Tuesday I was meeting friends for lunch at the Shelter Harbor Inn. I called ahead to see if your dining room could accommodate me since I needed a gluten-free meal. This restriction has made dining out a challenge more often than not. Starting with the gentleman who answered the phone, to our wonderful, pleasant young waitress (I wish I knew her name), to the meal that the chef prepared, it was such an enjoyable time. The fact that the five ladies had a corner table inside overlooking the patio and your beautiful gardens added to a very pleasant time. I will be sure to recommend your wonderful inn to others I know who need a delicious gluten-free meal and a wonderful dining experience.

Dear Mr. Houston:

Thank you for arranging the details for our family celebration at the Shelter Harbor of my son's graduation from the Coast Guard Academy in May. The entire day was fabulous from the gorgeous weather, to the men and women in white uniforms, to President Bush's arrival, to our lovely lunch at the Shelter Harbor Inn. We enjoyed sitting in the screened-in porch area and taking family photos on the lawn afterwards. Also, the printed menus were professionally done and added a special touch. Thank you so much for making our wedding day special and unforgettable! The setting was beautiful, the fireplaces that were lit both during the ceremony and in the private room where everyone ate dinner was a wonderful touch. Our wedding cake was gorgeous; please thank the person who made it for us. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful and very polite and efficient. The food was delicious and the room we stayed in that night at the carriage house was absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed breakfast the next morning! Everything was wonderful! Thanks again!
