2013 Shoreline Classic
Tournament
The Shelter Harbor Inn’s Shoreline Classic Men’s Paddle Tennis Tournament was held on Saturday, April 6th and the Mixed Tournament followed on Sunday, April 7th. The men’s tournament had eighteen teams while the mixed had twenty-two teams.
The men’s finals were won by Geoff Cartier and Mat Holmes
over Nick Mazzarese and Brian Rogers 6-4, 6-1. The consolation was won by Michael Todd and Michael Chen over Brent
Dickman and Rich Goldfeder 2-6, 6-2, 7-5. The reprieve was won by Jim Hamilton and Alex Robertson over Chip Leveroni and Jason Smith.
The mixed doubles final was won by Kate and Jeff Mourneau over Dionne Bothner and Steve
Pike 6-4, 6-2. The consolation was won by Kathy and Craig Waddington over Amy and Chip Leveroni 6-2, 6-2. The reprieve was won by Polly and Ned Handy over Heather Mahon and Rob Coster and the quarter final reprieve was won by Sheila and Dave Mueller over Asa and Per Nilsson 6-4, 6-4.
The mixed Doubles draw was our largest ever with half the teams married. Also, all the winners of
the four brackets likewise are married!
